Friendly competition and clean sportsmanship will be emphasized with winning being secondary. Our main goal is for ALL participants to have FUN while building athletic, team, and social skills. All offerings are open to both boys and girls.
Refund Policy: Full refund up to skills day/roster assignment. 75% refund after skills day/roster assignment. Not eligible for refunds after first game/session.
Start Smart Programs Offered
Wellington Recreation is proud to offer the Start Smart programs. Start Smart Programs were created by the National Alliance for Youth Sport to help kids get ready for sports....and succeed in life. It is a step-by-step approach that builds confidence and self-esteem while making sports fun. Parent-child groups will perform motor skill tasks that gradually build confidence in children while they are having fun at the same time. Parents spend quality time together with their child while learning how to properly teach and support them in sports. If your young child has never participated in an organized sport this is the perfect introduction for you and your child. Visit NAYS.org for more information. Wellington Recreation offers the following Start Smart Programs: soccer, flag football, baseball, basketball, sports development.

Thank You Coaches!!!
Wellington Recreation would like to thank our coaches for attending a Coaching Clinic and making the commitment to work with our youth. We know that each one of you has a very busy schedule and we appreciate your time and effort. If your children have participated in our youth sports programs take the time to thank their coaches.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDWellington Recreation’s programs are in need of dedicated individuals willing to donate their time. We are currently in need of coaches, head and assistant, for each activity offered. Working with kids can be a rewarding experience. All coaches are required to attend a seasonal coaches meeting and become NYSCA certified. Contact us at volunteer@townofwellington.com with any questions.
