Weeds | Section 7-3-20 | All weeds and lawn grasses must be kept below 8 inches in height. |
Sidewalks | Section 11-1-20 | You must clear your sidewalks of all snow and ice within 24 hours after the snow has stopped. |
Trees | Section 7-2-170 | Property owners are responsible for the care and maintenance of street trees that are located in the right of way adjacent to the property. Branches and tree limbs that hang over sidewalks and streets must be kept a minimum of 15 feet above the street and 8 feet above the sidewalk. Street signs and corner views must not be obstructed. |
Landscaping | Section 11-4-60 | No landscaping material such as: rocks, dirt, mulch, sand, etc. shall be dumped or stored on any public street without prior permission from the town. Temporary permits can be requested at the Town Hall. |
Trash Dumpsters | Section 11-4-60 | Trash dumpsters are not allowed on public streets. Temporary permits can be requested at the Town Hall. |
Non-Running Vehicles | Section 8-2-10 | It is illegal to park an unlicensed and/or junk vehicle on the street, it is also illegal to store more than 1 unlicensed and/or junk vehicle on private property within the Town limits. Violators will be ticketed and towed. |
Excess-weight vehicles and recreational vehicles parking restrictions | Section 16-3-230 | No owner or operator of any excess-weight vehicle or semi-vehicle, other than emergency vehicles, shall operate or park the vehicle on any public right-of-way or roadway, excepting garbage trucks and trucks when making local deliveries or performing work on property or in areas served by such right of way, nor shall excess-weight vehicles, boats, boat trailers, tractors, trailers, semi-trailers, motor homes, buses or detached/ dismounted campers be parked or kept on private property for longer than seventy-two (72) hours, except as herein provided. No boat, boat trailer, tractor, trailer, semi-trailer, motor home, bus or detached/ dis-mounted camper shall be kept or parked upon any public right-of-way or roadway, except for visitation purposes not exceeding twenty-four (48) hours. |
Excrement removal | Section 7-4-660 | No person shall appear with an animal upon the public ways, within public places or upon the property of another, absent that person's consent, without some means for the removal of excrement, nor shall any person fail to remove any excrement deposited by such animal. This Section shall not apply to a blind person while walking a guide dog. (Ord. 20-1998 §9.09.01) |
Licenses | Section 7-4-360 | All pets in Larimer County must be licensed annually. Pet licenses are available through Larimer County. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required. |
Leash Law | Section 7-4-160 | All animals must be under the physical control of the owner. Call Town Hall at 970-568-3381 if you have a pet that is missing. |
Limitations | Section 7-4-210 | It is unlawful to house more than 3 dogs or 3 cats or an aggregate of 4 dogs and cats over the age of 4 months. |
Barking Dogs | Section 7-4-630 |
Dogs that bark, whine, screech or howl for more than 10 minutes continuously during the day and 5 minutes at night are deemed a nuisance. If the animal control officer does not witness this event, you must document the event and file a formal complaint for remedial action. |
