Dean Campos has been named the Recreation Program Manager for the Town of Wellington. Bringing over 10 years of municipal recreation experience and an immeasurable amount of passion, Campos is most excited by the opportunity to steward taxpayer money sustainably for long term growth.
Previously, Campos served the City of Greeley for 5 years, driving program innovation and growth. Recognized by the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association with a Columbine Award, Campos was part of a team that implemented technological programming to foster academic achievement for local youth. The program's success highlights Campos' belief that recreation engagement goes beyond just sports.
Campos said, “I am a big believer in listening to what the community wants, building a program that is innovative and unique to Wellington.” In the coming weeks he will focus on getting to know Wellington before building out a strategic plan.
As a Coloradoan for eight years, Campos takes full advantage of the many outdoor recreation opportunities available right in our backyard. He often spends time with his family paddle boarding or boating on lakes around the state.
