[ARCHIVED] Outdoor Watering Restrictions

Summer Water Restrictions

Outdoor potable watering restrictions are in place for summer 2023. Restrictions are necessary to ensure the water treatment plant has capacity to meet the demand for consumption and indoor use. If the demand for treated water exceeds the capacity of the plant, more drastic measures may be taken to ensure there is enough water for drinking. In the peak demand season, every drop truly counts.

  • Outdoor watering is only permitted between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
  • Odd street numbers water only on Tues. and Sat.
  • Even street numbers water only on Wed. and Sun.
  • Irrigation runoff shall be kept to a minimum.
  •  Overspray onto non-vegetated areas is prohibited.
  • Washing of outside paved or concrete areas is prohibited

Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S.) 38-33.3-302(1)(k)(II) made law by HB13-183 generally prohibits an HOA from levying a fine on a homeowner for inadequate landscape watering when restrictions are in place, if the homeowner is watering according to the watering restrictions.

Residents with non-potable irrigation systems (water not treated for drinking/consumption) are encouraged to limit water use but are not mandated by these restrictions.
