It’s just 1 week until the 2024 Wellington Municipal Election! Have you submitted your ballot yet?
Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk by 7 p.m. on April 2 and can be returned in the following ways:
• Using the utilities drop box at the Municipal Services Building;
• Using the Larimer County elections drop box at the Leeper Center, 3800 Wilson Ave.;
• Sending your ballot to the Town’s Post Office Box: P.O. Box 127, Wellington, CO 80549.
Returning ballots by mail several days before April 2 is highly recommended to meet the ballot deadline.
Anyone who has yet to receive a ballot in the mail can apply for a replacement ballot from the Municipal Services Building, 8225 3rd St. in Wellington. Voters seeking a replacement ballot will be required to file a reason for that request on a form provided by the Clerk’s office.
Residents wishing to check on their voter registration status can do so at the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder website or the Colorado Secretary of State website. Three seats on the Wellington Board of Trustees are up for election, with five candidates vying to fill those seats. As all Wellington Town Trustees are elected at-large, all voters can vote for three candidates.
Unofficial results from the Municipal Election will be released as soon as feasible after election judges have completed counting on election day. Results won’t become official until the Canvass of Election is completed, which will happen April 12 at the earliest.
