As our community’s needs for water grow and change, the way we value, price and use our water must reflect today’s water reality. Our supplies are becoming tighter, our infrastructure is aging and in need of investment, and our costs to provide service are changing.
Using water efficiently is the most inexpensive way to make our supplies more sustainable, and it keeps your rates lower over time. Here are some tips to help you use your water wisely.

Showerhead Exchange Program
Did you know that replacing your showerhead with a water-efficient option can save you up to 2700 gallons per year? Exchange your older showerhead with a FREE water-efficient showerhead at the Town's Municipal Services building. Showerheads are available to residents on a first come first serve basis. Faucet Aerator Exchange Program
A faucet aeration exchange program is an initiative that encourages homeowners to replace their old, inefficient faucet aerators with newer, water-saving models. By exchanging outdated aerators for more efficient ones, participants can reduce water consumption, lower utility bills, and contribute to environmental conservation. FREE Irrigation Audits
Residential, Commercial, and HOAs potable water users are eligible for a FREE irrigation evaluation from professional irrigation technicians. The Slow the Flow program through Resource Central aims to help Colorado residents reduce water use by optimizing their sprinkler system’s efficiency. Gain knowledge about your system, get a customized watering schedule and reduce water waste with the FREE irrigation consultation. Click the link to review the program and sign up: Irrigation Audits. Garden in a Box (reduced cost for low water plants)
Garden In A Box offers professionally designed, Waterwise, perennial garden kits tailor-made for Colorado yards. We make it easy to get that professional look by including starter plants, plant-by-number maps, seasonal maintenance suggestions, and watering recommendations in the kits. Ditch some grass and plant a new perspective with Garden In A Box. A limited number of boxes are discounted by $25 for Wellington Water Utility customers each year. WaterWise Yard Seminars
Local landscape and horticultural professionals teach free, online Waterwise Yard Seminars. Get your landscaping questions answered and learn how to keep your yard looking great while using less water. Seminar topics range from low-water landscape design, xeric plant selection, smart irrigation, and more. Both novice and advanced gardeners are sure to learn something new. Lawn Removal Discount
A lawn removal rebate program is designed to encourage homeowners to replace their traditional grass lawns with drought-tolerant landscaping. Resource Central is excited to support turf removal efforts statewide! Through a generous grant from the Colorado Water Conservation Board, Resource Central is extending a discount of up to $750 to residents across Colorado.
