Municipal Court

Town of Wellington tickets are issued by Larimer County Sherriff within the town limits.

Payments

Fines can be paid before the court date in person, over the phone, or by mail.

*** If your ticket indicates a summons you must appear in person on your court date. If you are not able to make the scheduled date - contact (970) 568-3381 ext. 100 immediately.***

Automatic point reduction for early payment (20 days from issue) 

If payment is postmarked within 20 calendar days of the day the ticket was issued, a reduction of points will automatically be applied to your case and reported to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). 

For tickets with 3 or more points, a reduction of 2 points will be applied. 
For tickets with 2 or less points, a reduction of 1 point will be applied. 

In-person 
Municipal Services Building, 8225 3rd Street, Wellington, Colorado. Pay by cash, checks, money orders, and credit/debit card.

Mail 
Send a copy of the ticket and a check or money order addressed to "Town of Wellington" to:

 Contact Larimer County to pay tickets issued outside of the Town of Wellington over the phone at  (970) 498-7860. 

Notice: 
If you have received a municipal violation for the Town of Wellington, you must make your payment directly through the Wellington Municipal Court Clerk's office. Payments made to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Department of Revenue, or the Larimer County Sheriff's Office will not be applied to your Wellington Municipal Court violation.

Regardless of any payments made to other agencies, you are still responsible for paying the full amount of your violation to the Town of Wellington. Nonpayment, even if you have proof of payment to an external agency, may result in your violation being classified as past due. In such cases, a warrant may be issued, or your account may be sent to collections.

Please ensure all payments are made directly to the Wellington Municipal Court Clerk to avoid any additional fees or legal actions.
